The Hotel was very good but I do not recommend eating there other than breakfast.
Unfortunately we arrived on a Monday, and most outside restaurants are closed, except for some very exspensive seafood restaurants, so we ate in the hotel.
The starters were fine, but the main courses were miniscule and an insult considering the prices charged, and after an arguement with them we decided to leave the restaurant, meal unfinished.

The only critisisym I would make is at breakfast it is not clear what you have to do if you want a cooked breakfast when you are seated for breakfast they should take your order for cooked breakfast, other than that the buffet breakfast was excellent something for everyone. The only other comment would be it would be nice to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Excellent location and quiet

Just a few minutes walk from hotel plenty of restaurants to choose from there is one right next to the hotel but seemed a bit pricey a jug of sangria 18 euro all other places between 10 and 12

All the staff were great except for the dining room staff. Mostly these were unhelpful and obstructive. The photo's of the hotel lead one to bellieve there is a pool. Whilst I should have checked, it was a let down that there was only a jacuzzi.

Many good local restaurants and the tapas bars are great for late suppers.

i have put i wouldn't recommend this hotel because i don't think it is 4 star by any means. the location is good and it was clean but the reception staff were unhelpful and inefficient and their mistakes made our stay tense.in a nutshell: our room wasn't ready, we were then checked into an occupied room, our keycard was cancelled twice and we were approached at breakfast and asked for proof of booking as they had no -one registered for our room, even thought the welcome note was on the television screen. also no irons available for guests.

Well situated, not far from the airport. Friendly, helpful staff. Location beautiful, metro easy to use an all round great place to stay for a long weekend. However if you are looking for the beach, you will have to travel, although the beach, mariner and harbour were lovely once we got there.

The aquarium was very good, nice shops including designer ones. Valencia football stadium is not far so if you can get to see a game it is an experience as the stadium has some seats that are extremely high up, not good for those that suffer with vertigo but an experience all the same.

Comment
This hotel is in an excellent location for the many stunning examples of history and architecture in the old part of Valencia but the attitude of staff left a great deal to be desired, everything was an effort and we were certainly not made to feel welcome. However our room was clean and more than satisfactory for the two days we were in Valencia. I am not sure it actually warrants its four star status though.

We would definitely recommend the Oceanographic for a fascinating few hours visit, well worth the cost of entry.Valencia has stunning architecture and the local market is eye popping!!

Good location - quiet position on side road overlooking beautiful fountain but central for town. Hotel bar had limited opening and was rather formal yet no other casual meeting area/place to drink. Not sure where the facilities were eg gym as no information offered and this applies to breakfast when we only found out on last day that there was hot option. Feel staff should explain on arrival. Great location for travelling from airport and for using train. Close to restaurants, cathedral etc.
